There are many different teeth whitening system available. They can range from simple strips you can purchase at the store and wear for a couple of hours per day to going into a dental office and getting a one hour Zoom treatment. Not all treatments can achieve the same results.

Due to sensitivity and other issues, check with your dentist prior to any treatments. You can injure your gums and created large issues if you are not careful. If you do start one of the systems, and have trouble, stop for a number of days, if still having problems, seek proper care.

Specialty work will have troubles with this process, Veneers and crowns may not change color at all. You can heighten non restored teeth to better match others. But you will have to seek other remedies when it comes to crowns. It is easy to get a mismatch and over do natural teeth.

Someone seeking an at home solution with slight affects can try out the over the counter strips. You will get a slight change. The strips are worn for a few hours in the day. You may have to change your eating habits to help in the process. Its not as good as an in office treatment, but can help some. Just have reasonable expectations when trying this out.

Another home based treatment is a gel that your brush on and leave for a while. They are applied to each tooth, then cleaned off usually changing shade. In office, there are system where they use Ultraviolet light to help the process. The cost and the quality is much better this way.

Not everyone is a candidate. Some procedures will not give the results you may be after. If you are overly sensitive, of have crowns and veneers it might not give great results. Look to your dentist for help on which teeth whitening system would work for you.
